At a glance
Who this house is for
A practitioner who wants a residential Hatha teacher-training course on a published schedule, or a 3- to 14-day retreat with vegetarian meals. It is a yoga school, not an Ayurvedic treatment centre, and the ashram has no vehicle access, so expect a hike in.
The signature
200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training — a three-week residential Hatha course, 5.30 am wake-up to 10.00 pm lights out, at USD 2,150 twin-shared or USD 2,900 private.

What it is known for
Why this house has the reputation it has
- Its course pages publish dated batches and US-dollar fees — the 200-hour page lists seven batches from 20 Aug 2026 to 18 Feb 2027. Retreat prices carry no dates, and the yoga-retreats page says retreats are 'available throughout the year'.
- The homepage says that with no vehicle access, everything — construction, groceries, books and yoga mats — was brought up by manual labour, which it gives as the reason its input costs are two to three times those of schools in Rishikesh city.
- The homepage and school page say it is a Yoga Alliance RYS 200, 300 and 500 school, though other pages list fewer levels. The homepage says a university agreement lets it issue a Certificate in Yoga, offered for an unstated fee on the 300- and 500-hour pages.
- The detox page includes a private consultation with 'Ayurveda doctors', daily massages or therapies on the doctor’s recommendation, and meals the doctor advises on. The 7- and 14-day yoga retreats include one Ayurvedic therapy a week.
Worth knowing before you choose
The ashram has no vehicle access: expect a hike of 20 to 40 minutes from the main road, which course arrivals must finish before dark. Course fees, deposit terms and course lengths are confirmed in writing when we quote.

One double bed with the same listed amenities; the FAQ says course rooms have an attached bathroom. The 200-hour course costs USD 2,900 at this rate.
- 03
Retreat accommodation
The yoga-retreats page describes private, cottage-style rooms with an attached bathroom and hot and cold running water at all hours.
Categories and names are as published by the property and are confirmed in writing at the quote. Where we would take a different room from the one the programme is quoted in, the note says so.
Wellness at Rishikesh Yogpeeth
Who is actually here
The faculty page lists eleven teachers across asana, yoga therapy, philosophy, anatomy and pranayama, two of them volunteers, with qualifications including yogic-science degrees and 300- or 500-hour trainings. It lists one resident Ayurveda doctor with Panchakarma training. Pages give '6 to 7' or three to four teachers per batch.
Team information is described by role and qualification rather than by individual name, because staffing changes. Ask us to confirm the current practitioner team and how guests are assigned before you book.
